Nick Taylor, of Canada, hits his tee shot on the second hole during the second round of the Phoenix Open golf tournament Friday, Feb. 9, 2024, in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Nothing screams summer like sun, hot dogs, putting greens and a morning with Abbotsford pro golfer Nick Taylor.

The five-time PGA Tour winner will be at downtown Chilliwack’s District 1881 in The Courtyard from 10:30-11:30 a.m., on Wednesday (July 3) to partake in a morning of festivities which include a putting contest, prizes and barbecued hot dogs for lunch.

The event is free for the public and officially kicks off District 1881’s campaign to raise money for JumpStart, The First Tee and Chilliwack Community Services. The district is working with the various organizations in order to help kids in the community have the ability to pursue recreational sports.

Those who want to can stay up to date on the campaign and how to donate by visiting District 1881’s social media pages.
