A new multicultural magazine has hit the shelves in Mission.
The Best Western Plus Mission City Lodge hosted the grand release for ‘Rasala’ last Friday (April 12).
Rasala director Satti Grewal has been involved with the Mission community for decades and owns Swing Optical as well.
“I try to build bridges between the community so we can create a better and stronger community,” Grewal said.
He says this type of magazine is the first of its kind in the Abbotsford and Mission area. Moving forward, the publication could feature bilingual content.
“We’ll do our best — whatever we can — to reach everyone,” Grewal said.
The first issue of the magazine includes both fashion and food content, in addition to spotlights of local businesses.
Grewal says the magazine will be issued every three months with the next issue in July. Magazines are available at downtown businesses in Mission and Abbotsford.
